GROUNDBREAKING KICKS OFF
CHARITY PROJECT

BUILDER, DEVELOPER, VENDORS DONATE LAND, LABOR AND MATERIALS TO
CONSTRUCT / SELL $ 300,000 HOUSE
BENEFITING STAR OF HOPE

Kathy Tabor, Star of Hope’s VP / Chief Development Officer, has announced that Wilshire Homes in conjunction with  Spring Trails and supporting vendors, will build a house in Spring, Texas and donate the proceeds from the sale to help Houston area homeless through the Star of Hope Mission. “We are so excited and blessed to have the friendship of companies that understand this increasing problem and can become part of the solution,” said Tabor. The Mission feeds, shelters and offers guidance to about 1,000 homeless men, women and children every day.

The group will hold a small “groundbreaking CEREMONY” at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday,
August 29, at the site of the 2006 Star of Hope Charity Home, 28339 Shining Creek in Spring Trails, Spring, Texas 77386.

“Participating in the Star of Hope’s Charity Home project is both an honor and a pleasure for Wilshire Homes.  The home we donated represents the most environmentally friendly production home available in Houston and includes our highest standards of quality design with our exclusive brand of green building features and energy savings components. We are gratified to know that this home will provide the security of a home for a family in great need,” said Brian Binash, President of Wilshire Homes. The donated home, Wilshire¹s 3,689-square-foot Kensington plan, is a spacious, functional, and stylish addition to the neighborhood. It includes the optional upgrade brick and stone elevation and 200-square-foot media room. The master suite, situated downstairs, features a large sitting area. The two-story family room measures 16¹ x 20¹, while the game room is 14¹ x 17¹ in size. In other words, this home will provide plenty of room and options for its residents.

Midway Spring Trails Inc. Executive Vice – President Jimmy Pappas is proud to participate. “Spring Trails applauds the efforts of Wilshire Homes and all the participating vendors. It gives us great pride to be part of this ambitious project to help Houston’s homeless” he said. The master plan of Spring Trails includes 400 acres of forest and over 10 miles of nature trails to hike and bike that wind through the community connecting villages to various amenities within Spring Trails from a pond and playgrounds to pools and a cabana!  Additional recreation centers and amenities, as well as two schools, are planned for the near future as the community continues to grow including a sports center to open in the Fall of 2006 and an elementary school to open in August, 2007. Located in Conroe ISD, Spring Trails is a master plan of innovation as spacious homes peacefully coexist within heavily wooded surroundings. With meticulous community design, superior homes, outstanding educational opportunities and an unbeatable quality of life, Spring Trails represents 'The Forest of Possibilities' to all those who live there.
